PIERRE BENOIT aka M4CH1N3 / BIG MACHINE

The alter ego MACHINE was born 41 years ago.

In 1980, Pierre Benoit was a carefree 15-year-old teenager living in Nice (French Riviera) who discovered Iggy Pop, David Bowie, Deep Purple and Lady Marmalade.

His path was thus quite traced.

First on synthesizers in a neo-romantic duo called Midnight Romance, he then played in pub-rock, northern soul and neo-blues bands.

Then a trip to New York transformed him deeply and when he returned to France, it was to settle in the capital of the country, Paris, and learn acting and writing.

But music was missing and he took up the bass in a fusion band, Dragoon Fly.

At the same time, he gave birth to his daughter and discovered fatherhood.

Encounter with Buddhism, various and varied apprenticeships, deepening of his knowledge in esotericism, in ufology and adheres totally to the cyberpunk current and to the cyberculture.

Creation of CORPS, an experimental indus rock band in which Machine sings and interprets his own texts, always very political and millenarian.

Then, after the split of CORPS, IDORu is born with his accomplice Le Hibou, guitarist-bassist and composer who write the necessary backgrounds for his words.

IDORu stops then.

For ten years, under the name Big Machine, Pierre Benoit will travel the roads from the Netherlands to the United States through England, Scotland and Germany to hold the keyboards and machines in Victor Sierra, the French steampunk band.

For a little more than a year now, Machine has been working solo on his electro-clash/dark ambient project and hopes to start touring at the end of 2022.

Pierre Benoit is a singer, a bass player and a beatmaker/producer.
